THE MASHUP OF THREE NEWS ARTICLES: Week 1
THE 18 SKETCH PERSPECTIVES: Week 1 Week 2
THE 36 CUSTOM TEXTURES: Week 4
THE MOVING ELEMENTS: Week 2(draft) p.s. The final form is shown in the movie.
THE IMAGE CAPTURES AND ARCHITECTURE:

The space between each unit of studio is a open area for people in close touch with the landscape.

The staircase links the above studio and the below square house.

The resting area for the stuff also functions as a medium to link the fundation school.

The roof designed for planting is ecologically friendly, which meets the theme: landscape.

One moving element in form of an elevator links the below office place and the above lecture theatre

Another moving element is the red square element of the wall, which can be taken off and let the glass behind it work. This design can help tracking the sunshine and reacting to the nature world.

Feedback

Comments:
Textures are really exquisite, and matches the theme well.
The moving elements look cool, but are not very relevant to the theme.

Comments:
The mashup conveys a lot.
The 18 sketch perspectives are very precise and elegant.
The archicture is very imaginative.

One Point Perspectives

Article Mashup

This is a time in human history when conceptualizing landscape has something really important to say. We view landscape architecture both as a physical expression of an archetypal construct, the Earth Mother, and as possessing innate soul, a “world soul” or anima mundi. It is a concrete and psychological entity which is becoming increasingly urban, fast-paced and digital, but also a setting for personal transformation, mediating the unfolding dialogue between landscape and human.Mankind has an inherent need to feel close to nature. Our sense of the place sparks a realization of a sense of ourselves, an unfolding of our personality, our sense of individualism. We are now being incorporated more and more in architecture and architectural design, and realize that we are as the land is; we too are of nature, multidimensional, complex and at times unknowable. For architects, incorporating elements of nature is key. Landscape architects understand the natural environment, the built environment, and the interface between them. Biophilic design is the incorporation of “natural” features into a building. And they are ideally prepared to take leadership in shaping outdoor spaces and framing public awareness about them. For many, these added extras go a long way to making those inside feel comfortable, relaxed and connected to the outside world.

Final submission:Ex-2 - THE SPACE BETWEEN

THE TWO CONCEPTS

CONCEPT 1:
The adhesiveness of connection between individuals----In Yakov Chernikhov's works, the efforts of linking the independent element are apparent. Connection sticks elements from initiative escaping but still records the evidence of the dynamic trend.

CONCEPT 2:
The elasticity of insertion and nesting----Bernard Tschumi's architecture conveys the liveliness and richness of the transformation. The varied combination of space illustrates the elasticity of the transition.

ELECTROLIQUID AGGREGATION:
Connections and changes interpret the creation. Each evidence of the external expansion and the internal rehabilitation of elements can be tracked through a thoughtful design. Arts never means painstakingly decoration, but forms naturally according to the communication from the outside to the inside. No matter the adhesiveness of connection or the elasticity of the change, balances and adjustments are realized to fuse the integral.

THE 18 SKETCH AXONOMETRICS: Week 1 Week 2

THE 36 CUSTOM TEXTURES: Week 3

THE IMAGE CAPTURES AND ARCHITECTURE:
(P.S. The theme of the model: the multicultural students and staff who study or work at UNSW.)

Sketchup model

The fusion and the distinction of  three big grey mass indicates the adhesiveness of connection and the escaping trend. The curved purple passage dynamically links up the shape and gives a feeling of elasticity.

The freedom of elastic path towards the stop collide the arrangement of  canopy structure and fuse together to communicate the urban context and the stop, naturally forming the integral.

The canopies are the major structure of the stop which develop parallel, the texture attached gives the static canopy a trend of extension, served as a transition to the relative stability of the waiting area and the absolute movement of the light rail.
